The Resistance

The Resistance

This week we continue our series on the power of agreement, as we take another look at what science has discovered from geese flying in a V formation.

As the birds fly in their V formation, whenever one goose falls out of formation it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go-it-alone and quickly gets back into the formation to take advantage of the bird immediately in front of it.

When we are truly connected and working with one vision and one purpose, the moment we start to go-it-alone we will quickly notice the resistance – life becomes harder and things seem to be working against us, rather than for us.

Ask yourself this, “Is there a resistance in my life because I have left the support of the people around me?” If you can relate to this, then perhaps it’s time to move back into formation to take advantage of the support of the people around you.

Remember, there is a great blessing that comes from agreement. When you join with others to pursue a common purpose, in the name of Jesus, God will be in your midst, and the spiritual atmosphere over your life will change.

About the author

Together with his wife Simóne and two children, Bella and Noah, Mark continues over 15 years of faithful service at his local church, SURFCiTY Church in Surfers Paradise, Australia. After pioneering different ministries, Mark took on the leadership of SURFCiTY International Training College – a tertiary training institute helping equip men and women from Australia and overseas, for work in Christian ministry. While completing his daily journal, Mark was reading 2nd Corinthians 6:2. Little did he realise it at the time, but God was drawing out from within Mark his core message – a desire to see God’s people live the best life. From there The Best Life was born.
