Doing Life Together

Doing Life Together

Great things can be accomplished when people work together.  We weren’t created to live life alone or to be without the support of people around us.

Have you ever noticed geese fly?  They do so in a V formation.  Science has discovered four incredible reasons why; today let’s look at a couple of those reasons.

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following.  By flying in V formation the entire flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.  Together they cover more ground, fly further and have greater impact than being alone.

Another discovering is what happens when one goose falls out of formation – it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone and quickly gets back into the formation to take advantage of the bird immediately in front of it.

From the very beginning God has created people to be around other people – so together we can achieve more than if we were alone, have the support we need when things get tough and always somewhere in which we belong.

In our busy life it can be easy to forget the value of those around you.  The Bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.”

Friend, you can accomplish more with the help those around you than you can on your own.  Whether it is a family, extended family, friends, church or support group, when you have others around you, you will live a better life than if you were alone.

It can be easy to devalue those around us without even realising it but let’s remember that having the right people around us is a blessing and support that helps us be our best and accomplish far more than we could on our own.
