Uplift

Uplift

There are four things that we can learn from geese about the power of agreement. Science has discovered why geese fly in V formation. Over the next few weeks, we’ll look at what each of these attributes can teach us.

This week: Uplift.

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in V formation the entire flock adds at least 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own. – So together they cover more ground, more distance and has greater impact than being alone.

When partner with the right people and collaboratively work together, we can achieve more, go further and have a greater impact in the world around us, than we could if we were going it alone. But this can only happen when we work in unity and actively seek to uplift one another. In a family or team environment, together we can do more when we encourage one another and support one another to achieve the goal together.
